About Bill

This site is about ideas on business and personal development, change, and information technology management. These are topics near and dear to me. You can learn more about each one using the navigation on the site (above). I’m on LinkedIn and Facebook, too.

HISTORY
I founded a company, TransDigital, in 1997 to offer a personalized, boutique agency approach to web application design and hosting. Over time, we also got into business consulting to established & start-up companies. I sold TransDigital to NetGain Technologies in the spring of 2005. I left NetGain as a full time employee in July 2006 to start working for myself again.

Just prior to selling my firm, I helped launch two other companies that use technology to solve serious business problems — both are in healthcare and research. One is alive, one is gone to the great business cemetery in the sky.

I’ve been fortunate enough to work with great teams in multiple countries building internet applications on Microsoft and Linux platforms.

My education, outside the whole “starting a few companies thing”, is a BA in Asian Studies and Philosophy from the University of Kentucky and a week at MIT’s Entrepreneur Development Program. I’ve traveled to Europe, South America, and Asia.

Out of all these really cool things I’ve been fortunate enough to experience, they don’t hold a candle to my wife and two boys!
